Bring all the fun of summer dance camp to your living room this summer! 

Our motto is "We Transform-. Youth into Stars" and the Academy's purpose is to do just that; to take you the adult dancer or any child age 3 and up and give them the professional training that they would not be able to get otherwise. Why? Because the Uptown Dance Academy has an 25 year old accelerated training system that has a 90% success rate, also we have affordable rates.

Zoom Summer Intensive*ELECTIVES

Monday
Acrobatics- UDA is an Acrobatic Arts Certified studio. The class consists of various mat exercises for strength, agility, extreme flexibility, and tumbling skills. 

Tuesday
Horton- A Contemporary dance form created by Lester Horton most famously seen in Alvin Ailey’s Dance Company.

Wednesday
Twinkle Star DanceJazz- A dance style that includes large leaps, rapid turns that is used with backup dancers and on Broadway.

Thursday
Afro-Cuban- rhythms and traditional African dance imported to Cuba from Nigeria. Utilized at UDA along with portions of the Katherine Dunham Technique.

Friday
Hip Hop- Street dance styles performed to hip hop dance music incorporating popping, locking, and majorette. 

*Daily Stretch technique-intense stretch routine that fuses stretching techniques from Pilates, flor barre, acrobatic Arts and Jazz Dance

*Daily Contemporary Ballet-Classical Ballet barre and terminology coupled with a Contemporary Center

1-hour Princess Camp (ages 3-8)
12:00noon - 1:00pm

UDA partners with Twinkle Star Dance to provide a creative outlet for Campers ages 3-8. Students have fun with weekly themes and choreography, printable crafts, and exciting dances! Plus dancers get to show off what they’ve learned in a weekly virtual showcase for family and friends.
